Namibian Kiaat vs. African Blackwood: Choosing Your Wood
African Blackwood is one of the densest hardwoods available, with a deep, dark grain — the material most people picture when searching for a “black sideboard.” Namibian Kiaat runs lighter and warmer, with a more visible grain that suits a more traditional dining room. Both are solid hardwood, not veneer, and both pair with our steel-frame construction for pieces built to be used daily, not just displayed.
